Atari Party

Oakland artist Sean Olson hosted an Atari Party for the March 2007 Oakland Art Murmur. This “Happening” included food prepared and served by the artist throughout the evening, along with a lounge style atmosphere featuring Atari 2600 games setup for people to play.
With our present-day lifestyles, we are all often feeling too busy to stop and enjoy the people and other fun things that surround us. With this in mind, Sean Olson is creating for all of us an Atari Party: a food and Atari-playing extravaganza. Elaborating upon Tom Marioni’s classic "the act of drinking beer with friends is the highest form of art" - Sean invites friends and newcomers alike to enjoy some good food, some old-style Atari games, and some generally great folk.
